Barry returned for a second recording engineering course at Sweetwater Studios, this time under the direction of Shawn Dealy and crew. We tracked and mixed work by Joe Robinson, a superb guitar player, singer, composer from Australia. He is a protege of Tommy Emanuel. One always comes away from Sweetwater with a raft of new knowledge. The new ATMOS studio, in Studio B at Sweetwater is jaw dropping to hear.
Trey delivered the Model 32, Serial no. 001 ! It is a beauty. See the pics above. It is just 6.25 lbs, tiger maple on the front, mahogany neck and back. 5 position switch lets you split the humbuckers with the single coil. Plays great, sounds even better. Party Time!
Trey Clements is a new luthier on the scene in Texas. He has recently completed his shop in Bryan, Texas. Trey is producing his first prototypes and NanoGram has ordered Serial Number 001. It will be a double-cut away, solid body with 2 humbuckers and a single coil. We are looking forward to its delivery and have enjoyed working with Trey to design the guitar. Hopefully we can have a guitar “coming out party” in Austin, when it is finished and the Covid numbers go down.
Drew Walker is a local Austin resident and friend. He is the rhythm guitarist for Fire From the Gods, a now internationally recognized band, with great music and lyric skills that combine metal, rock, rap and other eclectic influences. Drew visited NanoGram with his favorite baritone guitar and Kemper head. We hope to see him more post-Covid if he is not always on tour. www.firefromthegods.com
